Anyone else like this? Well, I'm guessing this is an AS trait.
I have the worst short term memory.
I should be at a class party but I forgot what time it starts.
The reason why I forgot is because I asked over the phone what room the party was in.
If I didn't I may have remembered the time.
As I was about to ask what time it was on the person on the other line hung up.
I really hate having a bad short term memory.
Yeah, short term or what's called "working memory", which is what you use to run a cash register for example typically suffers with autism, while long-term memory improves. I'm the same way. I have actually run registers in the past, but I'm constantly forgetting things that happened a few minutes ago. Meanwhile in spite of never having a use for it, I still remember the formula for the volume of a cone from high-school math classes.

I should be be at a party being a bit tipsy right now.
That sounds... dreadful... I mean being at a party and being tipsy at the same time, not missing it. Missing it sucks, but would be a mixed blessing for me. I go to parties mostly because I know I need to network. I'd love to be the kind of person who's comfortable at them, but never have been.
