Does anyone else LOVE really long hot showers?

I Have to have a shower every day, sometimes even two or three if im really stressed. I love the feeling of the water and would live in the shower if I could! I always sit down or lie in the shower which I am not sure if this is normal. It has to be really hot so it makes my skin red and i make it hotter and hotter. I can stay in the shower for up to two hours and sometimes fallen asleep when i am ill or tired.
I do this because it is the only place i can think clearly with only the noise of the water and usually with the light off. It calms me down, and helps me make decisions big and little and always makes me physically and mentally feel better. I usually have to use an alarm to get out or i will stay there all day!
Is this something to do with having Aspergers and/or ADHD? and does anyone else do this?

finally someone like me!, yes my mom used to stick me in the bath to calm me down, of course we always thought i was throwing tantrums, i had no idea how to explain that it was a sensory overload, now i can explain it, i am controlling it much better! When i am stressed i have been known to take up to 6 or 7 baths in a day easily.

Yes. I love showers. When I was little, I was scared of them and the water was too intense--- it felt like needles hitting my skin. I used to take a bath every day, often for over an hour. Now I like showers better, although I also like to sit in a hot tun with the jet hitting my lower back.

I think this is a sensation thing, both because the pressure of the water is very soothing and because I really can't stand the sensation of feeling dirty. I often shower two or three times a day, especially if I go to the gym.

Same here. I like cranking the heat too, and turning the light off. A lot of the times, I'll be playing music as well.

I shower once a day to stay clean, but I also like it because it always feels super revitalizing. I'd like to think it has almost the same effect as meditation.

i've recently taken a liking to hot water fun. now i take about 5 showers a day even though i dont need them just to feel the awesomness of hot water!

They make me feel like I'm about to fall asleep, so I like taking them in the evening. Taking them in the morning, though, isn't usually a good idea.

My parents get angry at me when I'm in the shower too long, but I can't help it, it feels great with the hot water hitting the back. My showers are usually 15 minutes long, but they only feel like 5 minutes.

my mother had to yank me out of the shower when i was giving birth to my son....the firemen were waiting in the living room there's nothing as calming as a hot shower...

but the complete irony is i hate hot weather and the summer.

i love the bitter cold, and winter but not when it comes to hot showers!

I loooove hot showers. If I had my way, I would take showers more than once a day. I LOVE taking the shower at night with the light off. There's nothing more peaceful than being in the dark, feeling the refreshingly hot water patter down on your skin, tingling you with all the good near-orgasmic sensations. As for the bath - I can probably take about 30 minutes at most, if I'm not... uhm, "relieving" myself (TMI, I know). An hour if I was, because I would be "sleeping" in the bath for up to an hour.

Hot Showers FTW. I hate hot weather also, and LOOOOOVVVVEEEE the cold weather with tons of snow on the ground. Why do you think I love Alaska?

I didn't do very well bathing as a kid up to ages 12, 13. I often had to be told to do it.

I like hot baths to calm me down. I still particularly don't like the feeling of wetness when getting out of the shower or bath. I like the feeling of being clean though.

I take showers just about every day and I like how the hot water can feel but I'm not a fan of feeling wet afterward.

I actually run the hot water out and adjust the pressure so that it last as long as possible. What's funny is that I cannot stay in hot tubs too long and eventually get nauseous.

I LOVE hot showers too. Is this an AS thing, or just a "personality thing"? I guess we haven´t established that fact. I often stay long in the shower, but I don´t shower with the lights off. I think that would make me feel nervous.

I also really like hot baths. Sometimes I take a hot bath with candlelight. I decide, each night, if I´m in the mood for a shower or a bath.

Not me, but my non-AS spouse loves hot showers.
