bad reaction to meds?
My doc put me on some new meds (I don't have them in front of me to list sorry) one was for ocd (starts with Fu) and one is the same one my wife takes for bi-polar (Lam something) and still on xanax.. got chills and sweats rapidly back and forth.. no fever and achy nausea.. and rocket squirts... I thought I had a flu bug at first... but no fever.. anyone else experience this? Tried to call the doc, but he's gone til monday

The second one you mentioned is Lamictal. If you get a rash, call your doctor or go to the ER if you can't get a hold of them, but do not discontinue it without medical advice. The rash can lead to Stephens Johnson's syndrome if not taken care of by medical professionals. Do not discontinue without medical advice because that can cause seizures even in people using it as a mood stabilizer. That being said, I take it and it works out really well for me with no side effects.

"Fu" is probably Fluoxetine, or Prozac. Check it out: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fluoxetine

hmm, ok.
The hot/cold flashes are changes in your blood pressure - that can be very bad, however, it could also be a very normal adjustment to your medication.
As far as the 'squirts' go, that's likely some form of 'vasoconstrictor' (Amphetamine for example).
If you are on a vasoconstrictor while taking a vasodilator - that'll be your reason for BP (blood pressure) issues, and you should probably get your little bottum to the ER to get checked out.
Do you have a rash? If so, go to the ER.
Is your throat sore - since taking the medication you are talking about? If so, go to the ER!
If you have itchy palms, or soles of your feet (and don't normally). In this case, go to the ER (tell them to check your liver (hepatic function) and your pancreas).
If you have what seems like abnormally large mosquito bites on your lower legs all of a sudden - and don't normally suffer from that many bites, and at such a degree, then for the love of "any faith" go to the hospital right now!! !! Tell them that you are likely having a delayed progressive accumulative anaphylactic (likely pituatory - hence enzymatic) reaction.
That said, I'd really like to have the exact medications that you are taking - so that I can give you the best probable advice.
****Please understand that the advice given in this post is purely opinion and not medical advice.***** I have to put that in, as I don't know what state you are in, and I can't practice medicine out of state.
Those sound like normal side effects to me. I seem to have bad side effects when starting meds, like you describe, but once on a better dose or after awhile most go away.
But really, you should know what medications you are taking and look up all side effects when you are prescribed them. It is good to know what side effects require immediate attention and the ones that are very common/normal.
Ok, update: one of the meds is Fluvoxamine 100mg/ 1x day
The other is Lamotrigine 25mg/ 1x day for a week then twice a day
I took these for about 4 days before the symptoms got bad..
Thoughts or ideas? I need feedback people! Lol

I'm allergic to Respirdal, I had a really bad reaction to it in the mental hospital.
(like i couldnt feel the back of my head, and parts of my face was going numb)
Then they put me on Seroquel and i slept for like 3 or 4 days straight. and was like a zombie
wich is why, i choose to be med free. I'm not taking anything for a mental problem

Doctors prescribe meds because they believe something might be accomplished, and that kind of thinking occasionally does something actually good for the patient. You have to be the one who ultimately decides whether or not to take a medication, and you need a doctor to oversee any changes you might decide to make. A doctor recently gave me some medication I soon began suspecting might actually kill me, and I was quick about calling his office and eventually even going to the ER, twice, just in case I needed to actually be there ... and I have since stopped taking that medication and switched to another one prescribed by that same doctor. However, you might even need to look for a different doctor in order to find someone who either knows or can figure out what is truly best for you ... and I do know how very difficult all of that can be.

==================================
Okey Dokey.
Fluvoxamine is a SSRI (selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitor) and that's likely the meds that's caused your squirts - not to worry there, this is perfectly normal. Other side effects of this drug are - nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, difficulty sleeping, dizziness, nervousness, anxiety, dry mouth, abdominal pain, constipation, DIARRHEA, heart burn, loss of appetite, weakness, pins and needles, odd taste, headache, faster heart beat (tachycardia), sweating, weight gain, weight loss and unusual bruising.
That said, unless you have swelling in your throat and a rash - there isn't much to worry about here. However, if you suffer from high blood pressure, you shouldn't really be on this medication - although that's for your doctor and you to decide.
Lamotrigine is a whole other ball game. This is an anti seizure medication that's also used for bipolar patients. This medication can be very dangerous indeed. If you have any kind of rash with this medication - go to your doctor. Do not stop taking the meds suddenly. Why your doc put you on this, I have no idea - he/she must have their reasons. This isn't a medication that someone with aspergers and/or ADHD should be taking.
Xanax is obviously a very common drug for anxiety, however, it also has the side effect of making you a little confused from time to time, is addictive, and counters your other two drugs. In short, xanax gives you the symptoms the other two drugs are designed to treat - which pretty much defeats the purpose of being medicated at all. Xanax does treat seizures - again - and I guess this has something to do with your medical background.
You are likely just getting used to your medications, I wouldn't worry too much.
The main thing you need to watch out for in this situation is a rash. If you get a rash, you must see your doctor/ER and you must tell them that you are taking Lamotrigine.
Other than all of that stuff, don't worry.
***Again, this isn't medical advice. I am not giving you medical advice. I am merely pointing out to you the side effects of your medication as they are provided publicly.***
