I know i am. i already have my apartment decorated in christmas lights and a small fake tree that i have, they make this "tree perfume" that you can spray on it to make it smell like a real pine tree, and I'm almost tempted to spray it on me it smells so good! :D

Of course i love winter, and christmas so i was just wondering if you also love cold weather and santa claus? Chirstmas in the summer time would be awful for me to celebrate it. i need to see a cold front and snow, not palm trees and snakes. yuck, i mean total yuck. :eew:

I know thanksgiving isnt here yet, so i hope this isnt like my love for a very beautiful woman, and prematurely ruin the fun. :pig:

YES! I was already excited about Christmas a month ago. Actually, more than that ... in fact, I think I start getting excited about Christmas as soon as Christmas is over. But the excitement really kicks in as soon as it starts getting cold and leaves fall off trees.

I love Christmas ... and yes I love winter, cold weather, snow, ice, overcast skies, fireplace fires, and evergreen trees.

Christmas for me is usually a hot sticky day. But I am too looking forward to it. Usually I'm so anti-Christmas but this year I want to be different.
Christmas lunch is usually cold ham, prawns, salad and some vegetarian dish. There's lot of sweeties involved too.
I wrote a Doctor Who Christmas special back in October and that got me excited for Christmas.

I have no idea what my family is doing. We may be visiting my extended family or they may be coming down to us. Either way I'm sure it would be great. My birthday is also right after Boxing Day too.

I don't get excited for Christmas unless I know I'm getting something I want.

I think it has to do with family for me, though. I'd much rather spend Christmas on facebook.

Christmas is so stressful for me. I don't understand it and would have nothing to do with it if I could get away with it.

Yes, I am excited about Christmas this year. I am also excited about Thanksgiving. I love the holiday season. It's a magical kind of time for me. I love seeing how my two sons get excited about it too. I believe my wife is wanting to have the family over to our house this year for Thanksgiving dinner.

We are probably going to downgrade our decorating this year. In the past I have put up 35 Christmas trees in the house. But this year we might just put up one (which would make seven because six stay up all year).

Let me explain how that got started. When we added on to the house in 1994, the contractor said it would be finished by Thanksgiving. Instead, it got finished on Christmas Eve, and we didn't have any decorations up. So I rebelled and put up trees everywhere I could. And it went from there until I had 35 Christmas trees each year in the house.

December 25 is my "sober anniversary" -- that is, I stopped drinking on Christmas Day (three years ago). It was my first alcohol-free day in over 15 years. :hic: So, it has special significance for me. No delicious homemade fruitcake for me, though. (Soaked in rum and brandy. :? )

That's great! My grandpa sopped drinking a few years ago and it changed everything for the better. It also saved his life. It's made the whole family happy.

Happy anniversary!

I have the following Christmas emotions:

1) My boyfriend is going to be gone for almost the entire month of December. This makes me sad.
2) I had a miniature panic attack when I saw the store that already had Christmas stuff out on Halloween.
3) I am looking forward to listening to Christmas music and watching Christmas stuff on TV.
4) I think I will not go home and see my family which is kind of thrilling
5) I plan on spending Christmas alone which is scary.
6) But soon after I will go to Switzerland which is very, very exciting and also a little scary.
7) I love and hate Christmas a lot. It's so overstimulating.

Thanks. Yeah, very few people end up regretting the decision to stop drinking alcoholically.

OP: Sorry, I didn't mean to hijack your festive thread. More visions of sugar plums now! :rendeer:

I'm also looking forward to Christmas. I have a stocking on my door already and I want to get some whitish blue LED Christmas lights to hang where my flower lights are, right now. I had to put my tree in the closet, but I'll bring it back out, on the 26th.

I'm also getting excited for Christmas. I'm looking forward to hearing Christmas music on the radio and seeing all the Christmas decorations outside, and for the weather to get colder.
