Please forgive me if this has already been talked about.

Recently I found about EFT and the amazing things it can do for you. I have/had social anxiety, PTSD, depression, and crohnic fatigue syndrome to name but a few. I'm definitely well on the way to curing these problems (after only 1 month) and I think everyone on here could get something from it as it takes a couple of evenings (10-15 minutes for actual method) to learn and is incredibly effective. With EFT you can overcome emotional as well as physical ailments including:

The aformentioned conditions
All types of anxiety (tried it, works)
Addictions (tried it, works)
Negative thinking (tried it, works)
Back pain
Muscle pain (tried it, works)
I you can really just try it on anything.

I have tried is on autism. I tried tapping on a possible blockage which might prevent me from connecting socially, and tried tapping on a possible blockage which might be slowing down my responses. I can't say whether I have made any progress on this yet as it's just too early and I'm dealing with a lot of other problems simultaneously.

By the way I have the full EFT manual which I've uploaded here: 88 page EFT manual It is free.

These days they only seem to be offering a one page document, can't figure out why. Here is the one page: EFT Signup Page

I found out about EFT because of a forum post so felt I should try and pass on the good word.

Hope it helps someone.

Anything that purports to cure everything often cures nothing.

Can you tell me what EFT does NOT work on?

If there's a promise that it would keep me away from the casino, I'd take it.

Not in this case wavefreak58. With EFT you really just have to try it out on anything. For example it will take away the pain caused by bad hips but if there is a broken bone or damage which would show up on an x-ray then the pain will usually come back. People in this situation need to practice EFT daily. But this is an extreme case and any and all emotional difficulties are curable. I should point out that everyone is sceptical about EFT at first.

It actually makes all your striving up to this point look like some kind of bad joke.

I urge everyone to give it a try because if it doesn't work, all you've done is tapped on yourself in different places, not lost anything have you? With a drug you would get horrible side-effects, not with EFT.

Anyway I'm not here to promote it, just tell you about it, if you don't want to give it a try then by all means.

I think it used to be called patent medicine.

My Mother took a residential course in EFT a few years ago and offers it too people on a donation basis rather than a fee. She has absolutely phenomenal success with it and clients often come away stunned by what has happened. Usually she is able to resolve things in one hour long session. She keeps suggesting she does it on me but, you know how it is, sometimes you don't want treated by family members because it's embarrassing. Plus, she would be tapping me but I don't like proximity, never mind someone tapping on me LOL. But, you can learn to do it yourself and one of these days I will do that and give it a try. Judging by how the people who have seen her react, it has a very potent effect.

Some people get hung up on trying to determine HOW it works and some people won't even try it because they can't see how it could work, therefore there presume it can't work. That's a very narrow minded response, IMO. The fact is, it does work. How and why it works is largely irrelevant.

I've also seen some amazing videos of the guy who developed EFT working with Vietnam Veterans with SERIOUS PTSD who found relief from their psychological suffering in a few hours. They had been in therapy for decades and yet their lives were still hell - until EFT. Amazing stuff.

I found this video on YT. It's not the series I saw, but it's similar and might be of interest.

It has also occurred to me that the stimming behaviour of autistics may be an instinctive attempted manipulation of the nervous system in a similar way that EFT and other meridian or 'energy system' based therapies like accupuncture, accupressure and even yoga seek to bring relief.

These systems may be efficient, targeted 'stimming'. Some more successful than others. EFT seems to me to be the fastest and most efficient.

Just a theory.

Thank you for the link. Though I see no reason to take it on faith that it can cure everything, I see no way it can hurt anyone to try it.

Interesting thought.

Yeah I tried EFT out on my fear of spiders. It worked. It's like you won't believe it unless you actually tried it. It's scary how fast it worked for me. But handling anxiety took some CBT for me.

And people don't get all anti-cure critical on it. It probably can't cure mental disorders but it may help with chemical imbalances in the brain.

I also agree that not everything can be cured, but things can be made to be more manageable and I don't see the harm in giving it a try. Thanks for the link.

All the examples I've seen have people teaching each other but not tapping on another person. I have no involvement with other EFT users and use it on myself daily, I'm making great progress with it.

I've not tried it on stimming so don't know if it will improve it. I had considered it but it isn't really a major problem for me. I think my addictions, anxiety, depression, PTSD are enough to be going on with! I don't believe it's related but don't know the advanced theory behind EFT so can't be certain.

Incidentally I never thought of doing EFT on thoughts before. I assumed it would balance out feelings but not thoughts. Last night I was in a bad negative way and did 1minute round of EFT on negative thinking...gone! I don't have accute negative thoughts anymore. I still have some anxiety but everything is much better.

See this link if you want a more skeptical perspective on EFT

THIS LINK

If it works for you, cool. I guess I'm too old and cynical.

As Malacolm said, the science is irrelevant. If I got better by jumping up and down thre times a day then I think I would do it, I certainly wouldn't be any the worse for wear. I tend to think that the science is not properly understood but somehow it does work. Gary's own explanations make him look a little silly sometimes but it doesn't put me off because I know he is a genuine guy and is really helping people.

WTF? How can science be irrelevant? Without science you couldn't watch Gary's dvds and download his PDF manual.
