Now we know why the professionals can't get to grips with AS. AS is not a disablity, in fact it doesn't really exist as an entity. We would know the full facts, if Hans's early work wasn't destroyed in the air raid.

Face it my fellow Aspies, our condition is on the same line as that bloody Holy Grail!!

It's also linked to eating disorders and seasonal depression, which can be caused by heightened senses (smell, light changes).

It's called Comorbidity.

I got Disthymia next to my autism.

Oh, and some of the things it's linked to are fun. Like echolalia, echopraxia, hyperlexia. I had all of those as a child. It seemed negative at the time, but now it helps me in stand-up comedy/acting to be able to mimic/imitate others, and it helps me as a reader/writer. I had a 4.0 in college because so much of every subject was about reading/writing.

If you mean that you need to have AS to get the other issues, I totally disagree with you, a person can have any of these disorders without having AS.

Or, if you want a rational explanation: The problem isn't Asperger's, it's other people.

We wouldn't get depression (or avoidant personality disorder, ptsd, etc...) if it weren't for other problems (such as bullying and abuse) caused by other people. The same problems equally happen to others for any reason besides having Asperger's.
Anxiety may be known to be higher among individuals with AS, but it only gets to be to the point of disorder when the same case above happens.
Things like OCD? Just a slight correlation, going along with our quirks.
Aspergers leads to autism? Hmm. And ADHD is a moot point, an oddity yet explained; both begin from birth. Therefore Aspergers can't lead to ADHD, either.

I don't care if you're trolling or not; just stop making inciting, declarative statements on here, please. Especially when they're not really supported facts/statements.

Really? I am an Aspie and I do not suffer from anything in the above list except mild insomnia which many people not on the spectrum also suffer from.

insomnia
paranoia (slightly, nothing that ruins my life)
borderline personality disorder
avoidant personality disorder
post traumatic stress disorder

Yes, how about:

the common cold
the flu
excuses like "My dog ate my homework paper"

and how about big things like:

global warming
cancer
addiction to the Internet/www
Republicans in the White House
Democrats in the White House
death and taxes

(incomplete list)

Yes, it's all cause and effect beginning with Asperger's.

(...just kidding...)

sensory integration disorder (a.k.a sensory processing disorder)
hyperacusis (OK that is just the auditory form of SID, as viewed by audiologists - intolerance of loud or high-pitched sounds, etc)
misophonia (that is just another auditory form of SID, as viewed by audiologists - hated of (even soft) eating and drinking sounds, etc)
