The incident dates from 1965, but I still find myself trying to sort out what it meant.

Between classes, I stood [or usually] at one or more points on campus [out of the traffic lanes, shaded, convenient for my next class..

At one of these sites, several times over about a two week period [before I moved permanently away from that spot], some STRANGE guy [yes, stranger tham I was] would come up to me repeatedly and mutter [audibly, with a self satisfied smirk] a series of names.

I had no idea who these people were; eventually my research turned up the fact that at least some of them were well known - to other people - millionaires.

A couple times I asked him WHAT he was trying to say and WHY he was picking on me [I suppose I should be grateful it was only mental intimidation]. He just smirked and walked away, only to come back with another millionaire.

Has ANYONE a clue to what this could have been about? It STILL troubles me.

Thanks for input. Over the years, I have gone round and round.

Was he schizophrenic?

Was he a super socialist eho thought my style meant I was reactionary?

Was he a super reactionary who thought I was a socialist?

But seems you concur this is not normal everyday behavior.
