It was less noticeable when I was a small child and spent more time actively playing, but even then I spent a lot of time on a swingset. By the time I hit puberty it was almost nonstop unless I'm concentrating on a task.
I usually fidget like mad, scratching myself and changing position a lot. I have stimmed for my whole life, but not rocking until now
