Does anyone here have selective mutism (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Selective_mutism) in addition to an autistic spectrum disorder?

I have some symptoms of the disorder, however, I am able to overcome my fear of speaking in certain situations if I really force myself, so I doubt I have the disorder. And it is also not as wide (ie. Can't speak at school, at work, etc). It is more like "I'm sitting at a restauraunt with my mom and want to tell her about me thinking I have AS but am scared to", and I'm certain that most people experience this at some point in their life, so I doubt I would meet the criteria for it over such narrow instances.

I have selective mutism of sorts, ecept i would call it semi-mute because there are many factors involded in it for me, also it stopped for a long while and then just started again. still working to get back on top of it. i tend not to talk all that muchj though noweverday i prefer to sign. in someplace i have never spoken.
