Is anyone else here not able to run? I never learned how to run like a normal person, at least people tell me. I really cant figure out what the big deal is. I also, apparently am incapable of doing push ups. I had one PE teacher that was nice enough to not make me do them, he could bear to watch me try. All the other teachers just though I was lazy.

I could never jog like a normal person. I can run and walk, but not jog.

I can't run like a normal person either. It's problematic because I really enjoy running and so sometimes I get made fun of because of it. I shrug it off and keep running anyway. I love the way that running makes me feel and I don't care how stupid I look while doing it.

It is just practice - well really building up stamina. When I started I'd only run for quarter of an hour or so. I don't have particularly good technique but after years of running, now I sometimes run for hours.

Like IdahoRose said, I like how it makes me feel. Running clears my mind.

I'm not the best runner and I really can't do push ups.

I'm a decent runner, but I do need to work on my form and stamina.

I think I run fairly normal, but so slow I might as well just walk.

I can run fine but I can't do push ups, or handstands, even though I'm sure I have enough upper body strength to be able to do so.

Lousy runner - not sure about style, never bothered observing how others do it.

I did in 3rd grade have my self designed "wolf lope", very classy, pushing off for a long low arc everry few steps.

Forget pushups and pullups.

I hate running. It feels really awkward for me, always has. I'm okay jogging in place, but actual running/jogging is less manageable.

I'm fairly physically fit otherwise (I work out almost every day), but even with practice I've always found doing push-ups nearly impossible (especially if I'm not doing the "girly kind").

Last time I ran I fell and got 5 stitches. I think I'll stick to walking.

Back when I was in 7th grade, I decided to join Civil Air Patrol (kinda like Boy Scouts, only very military oriented). To advance in rank, you had to run a mile in a specified length of time, which decreased the further you advanced. I asked my gym teacher to coach me in running - which he was more than happy to do - and ran laps every gym class that year. I got quite good at running.

Now I'm ancient, and my knees won't let me do it anymore. :(

If everyone bursts out laughing, yelling, RUN FOREST RUN everytime. Sometimes, people offer me money just to see me do it again.

People tell me I jog strangely all the time. Like, my right hand will glue itself to the side of my body! I can feel it worst when I'm on an elliptical! I love the elliptical, but I can really feel my 'deficiencies' as soon as I get on one! Saddening!
