Does anyone else enjoy peeling off dry lips until they bleed like there's tomorrow? :?

I normally like to follow up by pressing freshly-cut lemon on my lips, too, and the pain feels so good it feels so wrong.

(I do have a chapstick, I just don't use it until my lips randomly bleed in the middle of the night. That's when I know I've gone too far.)

When I saw this I thought you were like a spam bot advertising for chapstick.

I do like to peel off the pieces when they get dry, but it is a bit of a pain, literally, and not the good pain.

I am sensitive to touch and there is some pain I don't mind, like say getting hit and having a bruise. I like bruises.

I hate ice packs though. Ice packs are like torture and hurt me so bad I want to cry. I came close a few days ago when I had an icepack on my wrist that I twisted. It was only on there for about 30 seconds before I wanted to cry. The pain from the cold was much worse than the dull ache.

My lips frequently get dry and cracked, but only because I'm always licking and biting them.

my lips are damaged. When I was a kid. I licked them due to anxiety until they turned black, swollen and very sore...the babysitter laughed at me and told me to look in the mirror. When my parrents got home from a 2 week vacation, they saw that and rushed me to the doctor and the doc said they were extreemly chapped from over licking. I was told to keep chapstick on them at all times to prevent licking cause that would soothe them plus I would not like the taste. However, the oil glands were permanantly damaged and I have to keep something coating my lips at all times to keep them from drying out which happens quickly.

As far as peeling lips till they bleed, I have peeled my lips with vasiline on them to remove dead skin from being over dry, but I dont like pain at all. Sometimes I do self injurous behavior but it is usually during a major meltdown and seemingly outside of my control.
I like to be physically comfortable too much to induce pain, now sometimes the burn while extersizing feels good though

I used to enjoy peeling it off when I was younger but my mom, bless her soul, made it a point of duty to get me to stop and to get into the habit of using medicated chap stick. The kind that doesn't have that tasty smell so I'm not tempted to lick it.

Yes! My mum used to go mad at me for it, but I kept doing it anyway so she's pretty much given up now (though she still tells me to stop when she sees me doing it).

I pick them then I like eating salt and vinegar crisps or something similar so they hurt.

Yeah, I'm effed up, but I'm glad I'm not the only one

when i was much younger i used to peel the chapping skin off of my lips, until i learned that having traces of dried food on my lips quickly dessicated them. so i learned the importance of prompt oral hygiene and diligent application of chapstick after brushing.

I've always had this problem. Vaseline works wonder on my lips. Chapstick was totally useless.
