I just need a bit of help, dammit!

Huuuuuuuuuge incident at school today; I couldn't understand how to do my PE homework.

It's really frustrating, I can do so much, I can be so much. I just need a little bit of help. I used to go to a really good private school - you know, the types where you're more likely to graduate from an ivy league than not. I don't right now, but that's a different story. I'm going back to the same school later, for the rest of high school.

It's impossible to balance the two things that make me stand out, it seems. I'm smart. Not like genius level, but on standardized tests and stuff I rarely test below the 90th percentile. When I was little, I was testing at the 95th to 99th percentile, from what I saw from a test I took when I was five.

But I'm also relatively sure I've got mild AS. Everything's there. The clumsiness, the complete lack of understanding of social rules for years (I can fake it decently by now), the fact that I'm always emotionally one step behind everyone else in regards to maturity. But it's really hard to get a diagnosis. I'm not in the states right now, though I was born/raised in NYC. My school councillor, the one person who might be a resource, doesn't really believe me since I could fake eye contact for the hour she's known me.

I just need a bit of help. I just need someone who will take the time to explain the instructions on my PE assingment, who will explain the homework question for history class that I find ambiguous. I can handle most stuff. I come across as about average in my grades and stuff, but that's because AS has been holding me back. I can handle the social stuff - I have been for years.

Is a little help too much to ask for? I could do so much more

a little help is not too much to ask for. Have u asked the teacher about things you don't understand re your assignments and homework? They are there to help.
