For the last god damn time, mom and dad keep the tree up for one more night. Christmas, then Christmas ever, and the day after Christmas. But I'm thinking they need to take it down.
My baby brother has proceeded to be like a cat about it and start eating the god damn leaves he picks from the tree.

Why is he acting up?

He was doing so well during the process of making dinner....I guess. But now...I'm about to scream bloody f*****g murder if he tries to do one more god damn time.

I don't know if he's doing this get a kick out of me, but its really working right now. I'm not making him spit it out next time he does it, he'll just have to suffer with the consequences.

Sorry...rant needed it.

My cat tries to get the bulbs on my tree and my puppy tries to chew up the tree skirt, which is really this white cottony fabric like stuff with sparkles. I am keeping mine up until the day after New Years. Keeping the pets off has been a challenge and will continue to be...

Is it dangerous to eat tree leaves? I've ate leaves off trees outside before. :? It doesn't sound like a plastic tree from your post so it's not reusable, it shouldn't matter much.

Still...I'd rather he not eat it.

You don't know what could have been picked up from it or if the tree is any healthy to even consume its leaves.

I know you'd rather not but if he is not consuming large quantities of it I'd let it be. It sounds like he is having fun being a cat. It's probably his way of dealing with the stress of the holidays. Christmas trees aren't up forever. I think when it comes to autistic children you just have to pick your battles as many say.

I don't think such foliage is digestible by humans now that I think about it, but again the worst that might happen would be he throws up if he eats too much I would think.

Babies are a lot like pets.

I have to keep reminding people...he's 14.

And he does some off things sometimes, especially when he's stressed.
