I just joined the site and I've been diagnoised with aspie for 7 years.
I have several other aspie friends but there is something i have found, some times you just need aspie time!!
i dont know if any one else feels this but some times i just need to be with other aspies. its just nice to people like you sometimes i find. i used to be part of a aspie drama group that closed due to funding issues (isnt that always the way :( ) and it was great. i just think there needs to be more aspie groups, especially for the older people because older aspies are often ignored!
needed a good rant, sorry guys XD

Welcome to WP.

I don't ever feel the need for aspie time. Then again, I do not know any other aspies. I generally need a couple hours of alone time every day.

Welcome! I wish I knew some other aspies in person. I think it would be really great to have a group of aspie friends.

I also need some Aspie time as well. I like being with friends and family, but I also need time alone as well.

Yeah, sometimes I do. My boyfriend is non-aspie (although I wouldn't say he is NT either since his twin brother is aspie and he prob has an EFD) and sometimes I feel bad telling him about how nice it is to talk to aspies because they get me. He really does and is one of the few non-aspies who I find can understand me well (without professional training) but aspie time is very useful. I was briefly part of a support group but it sort of fell apart. I'm hoping something starts up again. I have found these forums to be really useful though

i need alone time too, i get so sick of people some times. you should see if you can find other aspies to meet up with, it really can be quiet fun though since every ones so open etc the conversations can become weird lol.

Hi and Welcome to WP :)

Actually, I can't say that I need "aspie time" because, unfortunately, I don't know other aspies...
But I know that I need to be alone for a while.

Take care,
:)
