Here is an idea.
Between Jennifer and You

Why not create multiple accounts for your farmville game to send you gifts every 10 minutes. It might be more work. HOWEVER, you won't be dependent on other people??

You didn't have to be nasty about it. It is easy to remove the application if you don't want to receive anything. I de-friended you so you don't have to worry about it anymore.

Being rude to someone does not accomplish anything.

I wasn't trying to be rude. I was just giving you a more efficient way to receive gifts. I don't mind gifting you in addition to what you are receiving...

Defensive, if anything. Nothing in your request to her sounded rude, it was just advice. I find it sad that people look for the most petty reasons to defriend people online.

If those are real names then perhaps you should delete them - at the very least it links a real name to a WP identity and to a FB indentity.

Seconded.

Apsieguy, your comment, whilst helpfully meant, did come across as if you were irritated at her bombarding you with farmville crap (it's the capital 'HOWEVER' that did the trick I think).

Her response was even more rude though, and completely jumping to conclusions. Deleting you as a friend is frankly petty.

LOL @ a group of Aspies advising another Aspie on social interaction...

Surprisingly, I too find nothing wrong with what you did (sarcasm intended here folks) :D :D :D

It's an aspergers site. Who were you expecting to answer the thread apart from a 'group of aspies'?

We don't all have exactly the same difficulties or experience, so it is perfectly reasonable that those of us who have encountered similar situations in the past and learnt from them are able to advise others in the same position, and they in turn help others at a later date.

Wow, both aspies.

I always find it ironic when an aspie gets mad at another aspie for being "rude." I mean isn't that part of social problems? Not meaning to come off that way so it should be obvious it may not be their intent?

I didn't see anything wrong with your message OP. But you know what, people who defriend you aren't worth it and I do agree with Stuart, you should remove the last names for privacy.

Yeah, it did come across as a bit critical of Farmville as opposed to helpful.

She was probably thinking: Why don't you do what everyone else does who doesn't like Farmville, and delete it? Why send me a message criticising me about it?

She's no doubt aware that some people have a low opinion of Farmville if she sees her friends sign up to groups with names like 'f**k off farmville i hope all your animals and crops die' (I made that group name up, but I'm aware anti-Farmville groups are there).

Oh, well, she was a bit hypersensitive about it. And then having assumed you were being critical and rude to her, she was rude to you.

You explained there had been a misunderstanding in quite a nice and polite way following her unexpected rudeness.

The ball is in her court. Either she can eat humble pie, and apologise for misunderstanding and being rude to you. Or she won't. In which case, you haven't really lost out, because you deserve better friends.

It sounds like she was being selfish.

If someone is doing something many people consider to be lame and they know it they'll be more defensive and take things as offensive even if it's not so.

Friends don't let friends play Farmville.

You tried to help her, but she'll have to hit a bottom before she helps herself.

Their reactions make no sense at all.

On the topic of FarmVille itself, though...

She was just being a cow to you.
Aspies having trouble getting along.

I use to have facebook and farmville, facebook disabled my account for no decent reason, discrimnation in my opinion, FB has become a source of fighting etc.
