If it changes you in a good way by making you concentrate more then I don't see the harm in drinking it.

Well, it's 12:30 in the morning and I've got 1.5 cups of coffee in front of me right now...
Coffee does a number of things to me. I'll go sequentially.
1) Initial warm rising feeling.
2) Increased alertness and awareness of body. Increased motivation, talkativeness.
3) Suppression of appetite.
4) Darting, nervousness, anxiety, pacing, aimless activity.
5) Headache, irritability, more anxiety.
I like what it does to me for about the first 30-45 minutes. After that, it kind of sucks. I have big problems with anxiety, and coffee makes it worse. However, I also have issues with staying alert and "present", and coffee seems to help with that. So it's an even split.
Honestly, I like to drink tea a lot more. It seems to do most of the positive things with far fewer negative effects.
The first 3 things happen to me. I just had some and I still feel ok, if not even more energetic.
I always have a tea at night, to keep me warm on these cold winter nights and it's part of my routine.
