I can understand why someone already diagnosed would not be inclined to take the rdos test, but I'm curious if some of you have and have been surprised (or unsurprised) at the result. Has the rate of diagnosis validated the test or not? This is not meant to be a criticism of the test. My uneducated opinion is that it's quite comprehensive.

Diagnosed Aspie here - did rdos test before official DX, and the result was "you are very likely an Aspie." It was the first online AS test I'd done, and the result stopped me in my tracks....I was very skeptical about having AS before that fateful day.

I was dx'd in early '99 when I was 27. I don't know when rdos first created that test, but I've taken it several times over the years since my dx. I've scored consistently in the 170's, never lower. This is the graph from the last time I took it--I think that time I scored 178:
I would consider myself a pretty "classic" example of Asperger's. I'm very high functioning but my Aspie traits tend to be strong-to-extreme and consistently present throughout my life regardless of my considerable progress in learning social skills and coping skills.
I took it before I was diagnosed and scored "very likely an Aspie". I think it's a good test, and it helped convince me that Asperger's really was a possibility instead of just me being paranoid.
