how good is your handwriting? Ive been told every since I was old enough to write my handwriting was messy and dirty, still is! I know its something mentioned in the AS description but dont know how legitimate that is (a lot of the AS descriptins seem so cookie cutter and not applicapble to everyone with AS) so whats your handwriting like?

My handwriting looks like the sample handwriting on the dysgraphia wiki page.

Terrible. I mix printing and cursive. I also mix upper and lower case. The sizes of the letters are variably and the slant changes from upright to slightly to the left or right. I regularly invert letter order in words and word order in sentences. I can't write phone numbers without making mistakes. It's a big mess.

Mine is small and neat, and always has been. Seriously, I can write in twelve/fourteen point font size with no trouble at all, and people can still easily read it.

my hand righting is well... i am only just able to keep the letters the same size, and i can't keep them in a strait line (even with a line to right on).

That's from over 2 years ago, but it's actually quite a bit better than my normal handwriting, even though that was on a whiteboard. When taking notes my handwriting was only readable by me, as it was really messy and I developed my own cursive style over time.

Here's an example of my handwriting. This was a summary I had to write on "The Miller's Tale" from The Canterbury Tales for my British Literature class.

congratulations, you have invented your own written language (that was intended jokingly not as an insult/mocking).

My handwriting is complete chaos, only intelligible to me, but I can replicate another person's handwriting to a tee, whether it's neat or sloppy, as long as I have an example to follow.

My handwriting can be pretty sloppy, especially when I'm tired. My father claims it's because I'm left handed, though (he's left handed too).

I've heard claims that left-handedness invariably leads to sloppy handwriting, but I am not sure I buy it. Maybe more of an inclination, but when your handwriting is bad enough to look like a diagnosable learning disability, it's a bit much to think every left-handed person writes the same way, you know?

Also, the pain in my hand and then arm after only a few sentences, like Megz mentions downthread. Computers were a godsend to me.

Actually, it already existed... It's called Trollsprach, which is a Norwegian-German hybrid spoken by trolls! lol There is a band in Norway, called TrollfesT who sing their songs in this language.

My handwriting is very poor. It's my own invented form of cursive that is flattened to look almost arabic in nature. And my hand hurts when I write for any given amount of time.

Actually, it's a sentence, with the top one being in Norwegian, and the bottom German... I'm not learning them anymore

Textbook case of dysgraphia (hope I spelled that right). My arm and hand start hurting after a couple of sentences. No one can read it except me. People make fun of me for it all the time. I always try really hard to make it better, but I can't.
