I would deffinantly like to see more books about AS written by people with AS and also maybe books that deal less with extremes, for example. 'The curious incident of the dog in the night-time'
which i did enjoy, did seem to portray someone on the far end of the AS spectrum and it might be nice to read about more able people with less obvious difficuties. Or would that just be boring??
Also i don't really like the way lots of books are written by psychologists who talk about the 'disorder' of AS. They allways seem to see it as a problem/diability rather than another way of seeing the world/thinking.
One book i read a bit of recently reccomended a website called FAAAS - Families of Adults Afflicted with Aspergers Syndrome.
Afflicted!! ! That just sounded harsh to me!
