I just finished Guide to Asperger's and was moved by all the stories. I'm in tears!! !! For once in over 5 years I feel a since of Peace/calm!! All those years I've questioned how to apologize to that teacher and ran the suspension through my head OVER AND OVER!! !! ! My only peace was when having a surgery and being pumped with those drugs. :-( It's amazing how much is related to having Aspergers!! !! The past two days I've distanced myself from family and a thought crossed my mind after reading the book. Perhaps family stuff creates exhastion which is a thought that never occured to me before reading the book. I feel a since of peace and calm!! ! :-)

One quote mention be yourself and those who don't except your differences aren't worth your time." OMG SO TRUE!! !! I've let things family say get to me upset me depress me but it's about MY LIFE AND WHAT I WANT!! !! As Conundrum has said my Psychology ideas are good and my interest of Psychology could lead to a lucractive career. Thank you for all your support over the years!! !

Honestly after my older sister printed a paper on Asperger's I scoffed at it (that couldn't be me) but as I jumped into WP and Google I read more and more and after reading a Toxic Parent book which opened my eyes up to my families Toxic behavior aswell as Guide to Asperger's in turn opening my eyes open for myself I am moved to change and not let stuff affect me AND BE MYSELF!! !! !! !! !! ! I CAN'T THANK YOU GUYS ENOUGH FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART!! !! !! THANK YOU!! !! ! EVERYONE HERE!! !! !!

Thanks! I'm always looking for a good book... Admittedly the only autism-related book I've ever read was Temple Grandin's Thinking in Pictures. I'll look into this one next. 8)

Yeah, this book was really helpful to me just this past month. It helped me gather up quite a few threads of my own life and make sense of them, and possibly make sense of some of my biological father's actions.
