Visual mantra / thinking stim
Does this make any sense to anyone?
When I am in bed trying to go to sleep I get this 3 second video-clip in my head that keeps repating over and over. I call it a 'mantra' because it has the same effect as if I was meditating and saying a mantra out loud repeatedly. It has a calming effect. Or it's a bit like a stim in the way that it's sort of OC and I cant help it. The videoclip can be different but it is usually the same thing for months or years on end before it changes. F.ex. it used to be a rocket (like the saturn 5 or something) taking off with focus on the engines. Right now it's a laser-beam that's trapped in a sort of round polygonic mirror (like a tube) so it keeps reflecting round and round and round inside the tube. Sometimes I zoom in or out, I can zoom in as much as I want or float around it in 3d, or slow it down to super slow-motion etc etc. There's also sound (well, imagined, I'm not actually hearing it), like the sound when the rocket took off f.ex.
Anyway, just wondering if anybody else does this?
