How can asperger with degree get a job?

I am very suicidal tbf.

I was awarded special awards at school and 1st year uni due to my phiscs + maths grades. I then quit phys as I got bore doff it. I got a degree in sports science.

However since graduation I have been unable to get a job. I have many problems with work.

1. Beign away from my house for several hours per day

2. Travelling far from home

3. Being around other people/socialising

4. Meetings/interviews etc

5. Zoning out etc..I cannot be aroudn people for more than 30-60mns. I literally call what I describe as zone out!!


Overall, what I need in a job:

1. to be alone generally

2. Work alone not team work

3. Job close to home

4. Short hours

5. Minimal meetings, presentations etc..

6. Less focus on social skills more focus on task skills


Well I cant think or find any suitabel jobs. I have ben delviering pizzas but I think Im sacked. I always late and was told my attitude is bad lol...I had this issue all my life I never talk much and hate being in restaunart and away form home so look moody. I cant help it. I dont feel at ease away from home in general.


I have been thinking about doing PC repairs and bought myself a training book. But I dont know the likelhood off getting work even if I get certificates.

I really dont know what to do with myself?

I could study nuclear physics in my room but noone will pay me to do that, For a job these days they want, proactive people, communicators, outgoing folk, socialisers etc...bascially everything an Aspie is not lol

PC Repair would be difficult unless you could advertise enough to get people to bring the business to your home. Although a repair shop might allow you to come in, pick up work, take it home and return it when you are done now that I think about that. A computer place I worked at in the mid-90s did that with some of their work.

Programming or web design are things you can do remotely. Additionally you can start your own projects and then see if there is interest in them for sales. You can also participate in Open Source projects that may bring offers of work depending on the project.

Web Design can be competitive but only in the sense that the well used channels are heavily populated. Still if you have talent it shows quickly.

As for computer repair, and forgive me if these are too US centric, but you might try community newspapers and magazines, bulletin boards at laundromats or other public places and community centers. Yellow pages can be effective but as you found out expensive. You might also check out a few repair shops, see if they have a backlog and then speak to the manager to explain your situation and what you can do.

Is there anyone local to the OP that might know of other inexpensive ways to advertise?

I think it's best to find a career/job in an area that interests you, or one that suits your comfortable routine. I chose teaching secondary English and talented and gifted. True, students can be challenging, but so can life. Teaching has offered me a routine that I have known since I was a student. I like the routine of the school day. I am now a Title I reading teacher in junior high school. With the gifted and Title I students, I get to work with small numbers.

Work in a morgue.

You interact with barely any (living) people.
You generally work alone on whatever you're doing.
There's probably one near you.
There are no meetings/presentations.
One doesn't need social skills to interact with the dead.

Seriously. I'd do it if I could.
