Since I'm doing a philosophy course and female Aspies are seen as "Little Philosophers" it hit me write about female Aspies! :-) The three books I was going to read/quote from would be the following (I only need to quote 3 references + my own student persepctive and it's only 2 pages long which is nothing.)

1) Guide to Asperger's Syndrome (Already read this over Christmas break amazing book I plan on rereading it for quotes and such.)

2) Aspergirls. (I like her website and some here on WP said they were interviewed for the book.)

3) Pretending to be Normal (A few of her comments are in Guide to Asperger's so that has peaked my interest in her book/life story.)

For those who have read a few or all 3 do you think they have good information on Aspies in general and females? (Obviously Aspergirls and Pretending to be Normal are by AS females and I saw stuff in Guide to Asperger's that I could use.)

That link has a really good list of books if you want all three books to be by AS women instead of one of them not being. Be aware it doesn't differentiate between AS and other autism if that's important for your report.

I didn't find your third book all that useful. Be aware though that Attwood seems to have gotten a lot of his ideas about autistic women from that author. But my issues with the third book aren't that it's bad or something. Just hard to comprehend and hard to relate to. But difficulty relating says more about my difference from the author than the quality of the book.

I'd personally strongly recommend Women From Another Planet. It's an anthology of work by autistic women. Most are specifically AS and it goes beyond single person views and beyond many stereotypes both of autism and of autistic women.

If you only need 3 references I think that the 3 you have chosen are good ones.

You've made 3 very good choices.
