Tomorrow, my sister and I are going to see a movie. Unfortunately, my sister will also be bringing a group of people I don't know with us, and none of my close friends can come with me tomorrow. If I hang aroung my sister too long, I'm afraid I might embarass her in front of her friends. I don't want that to happen because I'm stuck with her the rest of the day, and I don't want her to be pissed at me. Does anyone have a quick fix to this so I don't have to just keep my mouth completely shut?

Hello MakaylaTheAspie,

How old is your sister?
Is she older or younger than you?

Younger. And she also has self confidence issues, so she wants to look good in front of her friends. *sigh*

Everybody wants to look good in front of friends :)
More or less.

So what you can do maybe is to set a sign between you two that when or if you speak too much or do something which is going to embarrass her, she can prevent you to stop - but discreetly so none of you would get embarrassed by the other - but on the opposite?

What are you going to see?
Are you going to do something else afterwards, after the movie?

The last Harry Potter movie. And we are going to Dairy Queen afterwards.

If your sister becomes embarrassed of you then that is her fault, not yours. But if it really concerns you then try bringing some music or something relaxing.
