does anyone else think that aspies are written about by too many nt's
a lot of boks out there describe aspies from an nt perspective without any aspie input?

all these experts look, observe and listen to us aspies then write fecking books about us?

but it one of the few things we can do intuitively is know about what we are like

anyone else want to see more aspie books written by aspies?

once upon a time.......

I would deffinantly like to see more books about AS written by people with AS and also maybe books that deal less with extremes, for example. 'The curious incident of the dog in the night-time'
which i did enjoy, did seem to portray someone on the far end of the AS spectrum and it might be nice to read about more able people with less obvious difficuties. Or would that just be boring??
Also i don't really like the way lots of books are written by psychologists who talk about the 'disorder' of AS. They allways seem to see it as a problem/diability rather than another way of seeing the world/thinking.
One book i read a bit of recently reccomended a website called FAAAS - Families of Adults Afflicted with Aspergers Syndrome.
Afflicted!! ! That just sounded harsh to me!

There are just tons of books out there by autistics - my favorite authors are Dawn Prince-Hughes, Temple Grandin, and Donna Williams - but there are lots more . . . you can find a lot of them on amazon.com

I'd also like to see books written about NTs by aspies and wait for the chaos that will almost invetiably ensue.

Well, I've written/am tweaking and editing a novel that deals, in part, with Asperger's. It's called "Reality's Crusade." I haven't started agent hunting yet because I'm still tweaking it but yeah...I really hope to publish it eventually.
