Seriously, I love that sound, especially when it's used in songs like
Leave You Far Behind by Lunatic Calm and
Confusion by New Order.
I also heavily associate the distorted TB-303 sound with cyberpunk, a favorite genre of mine.
It's a cool sound, though I don't much care for the long filter sweeps in the example you provided. I've never really heard of the term cyberpunk being used to describe music, I always figured it was just a sub-genre of science-fiction. Technically, the TB-303 sound is associated with acid house. Actually, that's an understatement; it
is the acid house sound.
Personally, I like the DX7 bass synth sound paired with some analogue bass synth, such as a Prophet 5 or Jupiter 6.
