Man, am I glad I found this forum! I was just watching an episode of Dr. Phil, and thats were I got ehe adress to WrongPlanet.
The thing is; I have a littlebrother whit Asperger. He is 13, but was diagnosed at age 9 ca.
I love him very much, and i never wished he was "normal", because I love him just the way he is.
But lately I`ve been worrying that he wont get a real relashionship as he gets older.
Right no, he does`nt really have any close friends (his best friend died of cancer when they were only eight, and that has traumatised him a bit, I think...) and spends all his time in his room playing videogames.`This cant be healthy, but I know it is normal for persons whit Aspergers.
Will this ever change?... He is really, really smart, and I just want him to get out in the world and use his skills instead of just sitting in his room.

can enyone give me some advice?
Thanks :D

I'm not good with advice, but wanted to tell you I think it is wonderful that you care so much about your little brother. Someone here will probably have some good advice. :)

Well there are alot of NT's that spend all their time playing video games. Does he like to go out and do stuff with you? That would be really cool, if you can take him out, and have him hang out with you once in awhile. Is he willing to do that?

first of all, I see that a lor if people in here use the word NT. what is that?
My brother and I have`nt really got that kind of relashionship. since Im 9 years older than him, we didnt really do stuff together when we were kids.
but if i was ti take him out and do something together, it would either be swimming or go to the movies. But it would be great if we could do something social together. He is quite asocial, and doesnt say very mutch in public. maybe he would be willing to do that, yeah. That would`ve been fun :D
I`ll give it a try

If he's into video games, try taking him to an arcade. He gets out of the house and gets to do something he likes. Maybe he'll make some new friends too.

NT is: Neuro Typical, its another word for normal people, aspergers are atypical neurologicly.

I also saw that Dr. Phil show and found this page.
