What are people hyper sensitive to? I'm hyper sensitive to sound. I can't tolerate any kind of high pitch sound like whistling and car brakes and such -although I'd be interested in seeing if I can hear a dog whistle.

Light is the worst for me. It'll be dusk and I will still have my sunglasses on. I get strange looks at times when I walk into businesses with them still on, but if I have to squint I get a headache, so the sunglasses stay on.

It's sound for me, I can't stand the sound that the TV makes when its time for the emergency broadcasting system. It drives me crazy even if i'm in a different room. I also can't stand the sound the TV makes every time the channel is changed, it makes an audible sound that is extemely annoying to me. With the 4th of July around i hate the sound of fireworks, they are way too loud and hurt my ears.

High pitched sounds like forks scrapping on plates, screams, squeaking brakes.
Loud noises like drills, loud music(of the wrong type) traffic, noise in crowds, lots of noises at once.
And unexpected noises of all sorts.
Plus phones, phone ringers drive me CRAZY. part the horrible ringing sound, part the having someone phone you thing...then you have to talk to them and stuff grr!

All these kinds of noises will make me either irritable, confused(cant think or talk) or i'll put my fingers in my ears.

I'm senstive to sunlight - wear a hat almost constantly when i'm outside. And dim light too, if its dark i'll get disorientated and easily confused.

Sound is the worst for me, especially high-pitched or unexpected sounds.
Light and touch somewhat, but not as much.

I also developed horrible motion sickness when I was 16, but I was hyposensitive to motion before that. Weirdness.

Certain sounds, especially loud ones. Smells of many kinds. Certain people sounds. Certain places. That feeling in the air before a big storm.

Wow, sound's a big one. I wonder why so many people are sensitive to sound?

For me it's car/ bus breaks and acceleration, plates scraping, chairs scraping on the ground, whistling, saws, coffee grinders, microwave and oven alarms, the fire alarm at the school and at home, people shouting, screaming, children crying, sudden noises, whistles (in sports and stuff), some higher notes when people sing or when someone's playing the violin and hits a higher note, sometimes the TV buzz irritates me, some low-pitch noises don't really hurt but they sort of confuse me and make me panicky, ummm...sometimes dog barking, or people speaking close to me, shoes squeaking on the floor, birds (blasted birds!). Basically high pitch stuff.

I don't like the sudden sound of the telephone and doorbell. The sound of motorcycles speeding by house in front and the sound of dirtbikes from the woods outback. The fire alarm going off makes me cover my ears. When noise sets the dogs off barking. People sneaking up behind me and saying HI.

Touch: I hate being touched lightly, it makes me itchy.

Sight: I sneeze when light is too bright, which is A lot, mainly on white reflective concrete though.

Sound: My left ear is super hyper sensitive. My right ear is normal. I only ever have hypersensitivity problems with my left ear. Sometimes itr's more tolerable than others.. sometimes it gets to the point where I will need to stick my finger in it to avoid having an anxiety attack.

Smell: I'm always smelling weird things that aren't there.

Taste: I can't stand the taste of alcohol.

Sound is a big one for me too.

I can hear the buzzing most electronics make, the noise a tv makes...most any noise that is irregular bothers me. ya...sound in general is annoying.

Also hate things touching me. Clothing, people..anything.

Light is bad also..I like dim and dark.

Oh and im very sensitive to heat! DOWN WITH SUMMER!

My biggest problem is sunlight, I also get a headache, and use sunglasses and a hat.

The worst, though, is the sound of apples! I hate the sound it makes when I or other people eat an apple, even when I see it on tv, I always turn down the sound.
Also loud and unexpected noise, and high pitch noise, some, and the sound of the dentist drill. Loud music too.

I don't like a light touch, like on the bus when the person next to you touches you with an arm, a newspaper or a bag.

Taste: I can't stand the taste of black caraway/cumin.
