Hi
I have Asperger's, Tourette's and OCD and wondered if there were people like me in the south west of the UK.

Long story but I was diagnosed with AS and TS about 3 years ago I am 48.

I have hooked up with an aspergers group and that really awsum but i have never met anyone with Tourette's.

On the one hand it would be great to meet someone else with TS but on the other i would be reticent as I would be able to see what i am like when looking at someone else if that makes sense.

Most people i know just accept my tics and the odd things i say (some dont!.... ***k em) my wife has more of a hard time with my AS more than my TS.

so if there is anyone with TS, AS and OCD in the south west of the UK it would be great to hear from you.

Tigs

i'm sure i've seen a couple of posters from the southwest on here but can't remember their pseudonyms.. and i don't think i've seen anyone diagnosed with AS, OCD and Tourette's on here unfortunately.
i may well be wrong but i imagine some of the tics associated with Tourette's and some autistic stims are similar though, so perhaps that could be a good reference? i wish you success in finding people locally. sorry i can't help more directly.

Thanks Fudo
I was so hoping to find someone like me close but, maybe I need to open it up a little.... even if there is someone with the same conditions as me anywhere in the world lol it would be great to hear from them.

I hold down a job and have some really nice people that i work with that accept me mostly. my wife makes it possible to retain my job with all the support she gives me, it has worn her down over the years though and she is quite done in by it all.

I am also an ex-addict /alcoholic with 8 years clean time to add to the complexities I face day to day.

I am grateful to be alive and have a good life in general but it would be nice to have contact with others in a similar position as myself.

thanks again

no problem, you're welcome.. just wish i had more helpful ideas
all i can reality think of at the moment is the Bipolar, Tourettes, Schizophrenia, and other Psychological Conditions forum here. http://www.wrongplanet.net/forum35.html
it was the first place i'd ever discussed OCD online and might be helpful to you..?
again, i wish you luck
