I'm looking for any information, books, studies etc on fraternal twins, specifically on male-female pairs. Unfortunately researchers love identical twins and for a good reason but that makes it harder to find anything on opposite-sex twins.

Please share any opinions on whether a female with a male twin has an increased risk of being autistic possibly due to high testosterone exposure in the womb.
I'm very interested in hearing from females who are diagnosed with Asperger's and have a male (NT) twin.
I'd love to read your experience if you don't mind sharing. Many thanks!

I've met 4 different pairs of opposite sex twins, and they are all NTs.

I have met 2 twin boys before who weren't Autistic but had some other developmental disorder (possibly Mental Retardation).

I am a female with AS who has a male twin, though our mum has suspicions about whether or not he would also fit the diagnosis...

I'm a male with ASD and I have a female twin sister who is diagnosed with bipolar. She has some ASD traits, but I think they don't even measure up to my relatively mild ASD traits. However, her bipolar seems to imped her more in comparison with me.
