Everday with my breakfast i cut up an apple and an orange and put it all onto one plate just so i can have a healthy diet. My brother who is an NT says to me "Your being weird eating orange and apples like that". He sometimes says to me to me how weird that is in a foceful or complaining kind of way................. he also said "Whenever i go in the kitchen in the morning your just sititng there on the table eating oranges from your plate, its just weird"

Could something as inoccnet as this be ood from an NTs perspective?

Fruit for breakfast is very common for lots of people. I've done it many times myself. If you go to a breakfast buffet there will be apple and orange slices (and many other fruits too) as part of the buffet.

Your brother didn't call it weird because he's NT. He called it weird because he's your brother. I've noticed that many of your posts are about fights between you and him. It's clear the two of you are not enjoying living with each other. No matter what you do, it will always irritate him because he doesn't get along with you. If you were NT, he would still complain that apple and orange slices for breakfast was weird (and being NT would not prevent you from having them for breakfast, it's common). This is sibling rivalry, not NT/AS misunderstanding.

Because people don't have apples on their plate unless they cut it up, same with oranges.

EDIT: Never mind, I missed the part where you said you cut it up. It's not odd at all. I think lot of people do it.

What's so odd about your brother acting like a dick?

No, it's not odd at all, quite normal I would say. Most of my siblings (NT) prefer to eat their fruit that way. I also routinely slice up my piece of fruit and place it on my breakfast plate. Your brother is just speaking from his personal perspective, not societies. Just ignore his commentary, and enjoy your breakfast :D

And that is what he finds weird: it's not that you do it, it's that you do it without fail. He said "whenever I walk in the kitchen..." He finds it odd that every single morning you don't alter your behavior at least a little.

So what?

You really want to mess with your brother's head? Eat them without cutting them up tomorrow. Then the next day cut them into little cubes. Then the next day use a melon baller. You could really have fun with his irrational fixation on your eating habits.

He might think it's weird because you sit on the table.

I like that idea. Sometimes it's fun to mess with people.
