I like green beans, but their squeakiness in my mouth is almost enough to make me not like them. It seems like most other people don't even notice that they're squeaky.

What's strange is that I am not bothered by squeaky cheese curds.

I don't really mind the squeakiness of beans or of some cheeses (paneer might be one of them?).

You mean they make squeaky noises? I've never noticed green beans sounding squeaky.

if you fry them it takes off the squeakiness.
I hate green beans, can't endure the texture unless they're well fried.

I voted 'no', but now I'm rethinking it. Most of the time no, but either the squeakiness varies or my sensitivities do, because it gets to me once in a while. And I don't like them as much cooked from fresh -- I prefer them canned or frozen.

My son used to eat them raw. Super squeaky and fuzzy. *shudder*

I like green beans, and I've never particularly found them squeaky in texture or sound (I could imagine they would be if not cooked properly).

The only squeaky food I can think of is cheese curds.

Yes! I have never liked them and I wonder if maybe that is the reason why.

If it's green and a vegetable it isn't going anywhere near my mouth :skull:

I don't like green beans. They taste like plastic.

Yes. The waxy ones do but they taste better.

I don't mind it much now, but when I was really young foods that squeaked like pickles would make my blood curdle and I'd start bawling. My parents couldn't figure this out at all.

Wow, pickles bug me too for the same reason, but I really like the taste of them!

Hadn't thought of them.
