I have a birthmark on the left side of my torso, below the left armpit, and it is a big cafe-au-lait birthmark.

Someone said that birthmarks are way too common in autistic people, even aspies. Is this true?

got one in the corner of my left eyelid. that is all.

I have one on my inner thigh.

Birthmarks are common, period. There's no way you'll get good data from an informal survey of WP posters--you should do a literature search if you want to find info.

I have one on the outside of my left ankle. However I know quite a few NT who also have brith marks so I don't think its just an aspie thing.

I have none. I do have freckles on my face and arms when I get sun, but that's from being irish, not because there's any link between my skin pigmentation and my amygdala. I do have a lot of scars now that can substitute if it helps me fit in, though.

Yup, have one on my right leg. It's lightening as I get older, though, used to be much more noticeable as a kid.

The doctor dropped me at birth.

I don't see why birthmarks would be more common in people on the spectrum.

I have a small birthmark on my scalp, which I've never actually seen.

I have a birthmark on the back of my right ankle. It is pretty big.

I was actually told by a neurologist that the skin and brain form at the same time, and if there is an error with the brain a birthmark will form. I don't know how true that is, but it is interesting.

I have a tiny one on my bottom lip.

It's on my butt. I can't remember which side. It's small, but not nearly as small as all my brown freckles.

I have a Jesus shaped birthmark that shows up in an MRI of my brain. When they do it with contrast it looks like the devil.
