I'm interested in knowing where AS begins and ends, and also where other things, like life experience (not related to AS), upbringing and bodily chemistry come into play.
So, what would you say are your positive, negative and neutral characteristics, those that you think you would have even if you weren't on the autistic spectrum? I know this is a tough question. I tried untangling my personality traits from the AS ones:
Positive
I understand that other people are only human beings, but that doesn't mean I take crap from them.
I suffer genuine fools gladly compared to many people, it's the bullies and willfully ignorant people I can't suffer.
Neutral
I don't like compromise on standards. I believe in doing something properly or not doing it at all. I don't think this is an AS trait, just a trait that some people have and some don't.
Negative
I'm really grumpy and pessimistic. This is possibly related to depression, but I believe I would be like this had I never had depression, or an ASD. I am almost comically grumpy.
