I'm a bit of a danger to those around me and sometimes even myself when I'm startled.

I'm so easily startled that a phone ringing will cause me levitate in mid-air.

Once I was gardening and a branch poked me in the face. I startled and flailed about for a moment knocking my glasses to the ground. The flail-attack I had cause me to get another branch in my face and caused my to go into a hyper-flail that resulted in my stepping on my glasses. 2 for 2.

I've always caused numerous, numerous, bruises to girlfriends and such due to them inadvertently tickling or startling me. I feel really bad about it everytime. Most people eventually adapt and kind of stay out of certain zones of danger.

Anything like this happen to you?

When I was a teen I woke up suddenly in the middle of the night and felt somebody's hand on my face. I shrieked and pushed it off but it kept coming back and falling on my face. Several family members rushed into my bedroom to find me doing battle with my own arm, which had fallen asleep.
