People really don't give that guy enough credit. I'd have to agree with you.

Also, to state the obvious,

Stephen Hawking

I idolize no one. I am fascinated by the achievements of many, but I cannot fathom having any emotional response to a person I have never met. I can barely fashion a good response to the people closest to me. Mozart and Einstein exist to me as abstract entities that have left behind traces of their passing through this universe.

Mozart and Einstein had Asperger's? I didn't know you could diagnose people from beyond the grave.

My hero is probably Shirley Manson (the woman in my avatar).

George Carlin, Chris Jericho, Steve Austin, and Jacque Fresco. They all did things their way, on their own terms, regardless of what people said, or what society expected, and they all worked their asses off to get to where they wanted to be.

I would mostly agree with this. I am fascinated, sometimes even awed, by the achievements of many people, but I don't tend to have heroes. There are people I'd like to meet and have a good talk with, if their ideas were fascinating enough.
