My 5 year old has bee diagnosed with AS. His symptoms appear to be classic. There are periods of time where he delivers a monotone statement (over and over) which appears non sensical. For example he lately after urinating proclaims "daddy a little pee pee got on the floor, I did it on purpose. I did it because my mommy loves me. OK?" I must say ok or he gets upset. (there is often nothing on the floor either.) I 'm not sure how to handle these statements or if they mean anything. I don't want him to go around in life admitting to things he didn't do.

Sounds like a stage/phase he is going through. Could be his attempt at humor, maybe. I'm not sure. That is indeed strange behavior.

I tend to have an upsetting repetitive ritual in thinking about my past a lot.

In fact, some people stand out. One such person is the sister of a young lady who I am considering inviting to join this forum. She used to be a social worker, and I think she would help all of you out greatly. However, I have not heard from her in a while.

I think you are probably right about your son. That's how some people attempt huimor sometimes. I am confident that you will do an excellent job raising your child, and that you will teach him right from wrong.

You know they have a problem if they keep repeating "Redrum" over and over again
