I finally have my diagnosis now. I spent 4 months waiting for the GP to get a response from a professor through the NHS (England) and then managed to get it done in a week through an employer. I've now been able to put Apergers diagnosed in my WP profile which I'm very pleased about. In hindsight it's best to go through the contacts through employers or charities as they often have a relationship with a psychologist who has experience and can get it done much faster.

Yay. Welcome to the 'official' side of the table. I'm not sure which side it actually is, so just take a seat anywhere.

Congratulations to you!

The threads about people finally getting a diagnosis are very inspirational!

That's great news! Hearing about people who have finally got their diagnosis is very uplifting, seeing as though I am waiting to even get a GP appoinment!

I didn't quite get what you were saying though- what's an Aspie employer? And what stages did you have to go through to get a diagnosis?

Once again- great news

Thanks guys. I'll try to provide some more information on how it effects me as some people say it is quite a profound experience.
