Why do you need a diagnosis anyway? There are a lot of books on Aspergers, so why don't you read them, and figure this out on your own? No one knows you better than yourself, so why rely on any psychologist or medical doctor? I am fifty five also, and have learned that I am a better judge of my life, character, and behavior than anyone else.

i'm already sure i have AS. i want an "offical" diagnosis as it could help me in a certain field of work.

You don't have to answer this, of course, but I am curious as to why an official diagnosis would be of help in any field of work.

Try Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic at the Merck Institute at UPMC. Try UPMC.edu. That is where I had my diagnosis. Enter a Ryan Cramer. I will have more info later. Good luck!
