Does anyone else find the myspace music really obnoxious?

I think a lot of people share that view,I've seen increasing negativity towards it on other forums,can't give an opinion on it as I never go near it.



Probably because if they had that function [allowing people to upload],it'd end up adding more load to the server,plus there is issues with copyright as well,especially if people uploaded music belonging to labels protected by the RIAA,BPI etc.

Yeah, myspace music *is* obnoxious. Nobody can make a page that doesn't flash, take forever to load, make obnoxious noises, be hard to read, and require horizontal scrolling.

For adding your own music, why not just host the mp3 or whatever offsite, and use an <embed> tag with the full url to it or something like that?

How bout messaging somebody on myspace who has their music hosted there? Maybe they could be of assistance?

I don't like websites with background music because I'm often listening to other music at the time, and the mix is never pleasant.

I tried. The stupid program just screwed up the link. Myspace has some of the worst programers ever.

Okay, here's how. You go to MySpace Music. You click "Artist Signups." You sign up as the artist of the mp3, then say it's a fanpage in the bio. (Don't feel shame for this--everyone does it.) Your fanpage may be deleted, but if the artist isn't well-known or if you weird the name out with symbols and what not than this probably won't happen. Upload the mp3 and make sure you mark it as Add-able. (You can also make it downloadable.) Then sign in as your non-music login, go to MySpace music, search for the artist you created, and click "Add." Then confirm it so that it'll be added to your profile. I've never done all this myself so I'm not sure if it gets more complex or confusing, but that's the gist.

hi i just seen my name in here, captain brown, i have no idea about myspace i dont have one. but my guess is that its either the format of the music and the music formats myspace can use on their site. or maybe server changes or try to do like what veresae suggested.
