I was on Remeron for depression and insomnia at one time, but have successfully weaned myself off it and have been drug-free for three years now.

I am currently worried about regressing into a depressive state, though.

Does this really help with insomnia? If so can I get my GP to proscribe this or does it have to be a phycologist?

I have suffered with it since I was 13 and have tried alot of prescription meds for it but they either leave me groggy the next day are habit forming that is if they work at all.

I do not know if it helps with sleep, but yes any GP can write a rx for it. (as far as

What are you taking for anxiety and uncontrolled aggression? How well are the meds working for you?

about six months ago i was put into a mental hospital for a week, because i had some kind of a break down. and was not myself, this was almost right before i left for four months. they put me on respirdal and almost immeadiatley i had an allergic reaction to it. then they tried seroquel. i slept for almost three days straight i was so tired, im not kidding. i couldn't even stay awake long enough to keep my eyes open without falling asleep. as soon as i was discharged i stopped taking seroquel. it just made me too tired, besides if i ever have a breakdown like that i'll be smarter than to get myself into a mental hospital again.
