People calling me is ok. Since I don't know who is calling me, I'll answer the phone in any case because it could be a friend of mine and I love it when my friends call me! But, I too, absolutly hate having to call people. That's scaring, terrible, not possible and I will stutter and get so stressed that I will miss out the important parts of the conversation.
I'm all for face-to-face conversations!

I can't stand phones. I have caller ID now so it helps a little to let me know who's bothering me with their call, but unfortunately, it doesn't always say who's calling. I don't like to use the phone unless I absolutely have to.

I don't feel much more uncomfortable talking on the phone than I do speaking face to face. The phone isn't the problem: it's the talking part I hate.

I use my mobile phone as little as possible.

The only time I like talking on the phone is when I'm ordering pizza or telling that I'll be late for work. That's pretty much it.

I never answer my home phone because the only people that call me on is bill collectors and telemarketers (credit cards are the devil don't ever get one!), and I have a mobile phone I use for business purposes but rarely use it for personal purposes.

I don't like the phone because not only do I have to talk, I also have to remember not to drop the phone. It's all too much effort.

I don't use phones unless either a) I know exactly who is on the other end and b) I know exactly who I'm calling. Otherwise, it's just all too much for me. I think it's something to do with confidence and a fear of the unknown.

I dislike the phone.....

I have to turn off any external noise....air filters(I have several because of bunny odor)TV,boyfriend.
I have to be "in the mood" to talk...even to my sisters, who like to "chat"I procrastinate calling them.
I have caller ID...wont answer if its work because they will try and "guilt" me to work extra shift.
Hate making appts...I have a weird work schedule which is difficult to explain to a stranger,so I have to have a calander and someone with a lot of patience on the other end...Never know if its going to be a nice person or rude person....and I worry unnecessarily about it.

I don't like phone calls - either making them or receiving them.

This is because I have Auditory Processing Disorder.
