Blue backgound for posts

Does anyone else have any problems reading or even looking at the posts with a blue background? Flashing colors really bother me too...

Yes blue is a bit strong on my eyes too

I don't personally have problems with the blue background. I just wanted to bump your post up to the top so that more people can respond to your post.

Thanks. I probably didn't really add enough explanation for the the question... for some reason, when I look at the type on the blue background, it "glows" around the edges and almost seems to vibrate. It makes it almost impossible for me to read the posts on blue, especially if they are long. I just wondered if anyone else had a similar problem. It could even have something to do with my monitor- unlike a lot of aspies, I am not really into computers and don't know a lot about them!

Unfortunately, somebody is going to have problems with whatever color combination is used here. The schemes would have to be customizable to get around that.

You mean the blue background on here? I have no problem with reading with the blue background on here. In fact, I barely notice.

Could just be me. Thanks to everyone for their posts though, I was curious- if it was more than a few people who were bothered by it then it might be worth it to ask for a change.

Yes, I dislike blue. It took me years to realize that it causes the overwhelmed mental state. First thing I do on a new computer is change all blue colors to green, green-gray, or yellow-gray. White contains blue and can sometimes be bad too.

A tip: For any annoying website design, you can use Firefox and click on View - Page Style - No Style. That is also keyboard shortcut alt-vyn.

I struggle if it is a long post. Selecting the text with the mouse, like I was going to copy and paste it, helps for me. The resulting white text on a deeper blue background swims around a lot less to my eyes.

I always hope for a blue background when I post, just because I like blue. And if I'm expecting a blue one, but someone posts just ahead of me, I get annoyed. Green just looks uglier for me.
But luckily, none of the colours on here have any bad effects on my vision.

Thanks, I tried that and it did help. It's odd, I love the color blue--just not on the computer monitor!
