I was watching old Monty Python skits and came across the one called cycling tour. Someone commented about the main character: "This dude is the poster child for Asperger's."

That's when I saw it. His recording and meticulous recounting of every bicycle crash he has, his funny outfit and his obviously being oblivious to social norms. Proper conversation, getting the message about when people don't want to talk to you, etc.

There's also one thing that stuck out for me, he takes this angry question literally:
"Would you like me to show you the door?"
and he replies with "Oh that's extremely kind of you but I saw it on the way in."

Watch for yourself and decide:

If you like characters like that and haven't seen Brittas Empire watch it.

Personally I identify with characters closer to Bernard Black's personality than this type

British comedy loves characters with some autistic traits, there are loads of them

People with AS can be either talkative or not.

I don't know I watch many British comedies and they have jokes where people take things literally all the time.
Arther Pither is one of my favourite characters though.

Brittas Empire was great too. Oh what I'd give to see that return to the Comedy Channel.

He's a Monty Python character. I think you're taking him a tad too seriously.
