Are you hypersensitive to cold weather?

I noticed the past few times I went out with friends that when we would stand outside and chat (I'm the quietest one of course) that I have a much harder time following conversations if it's cold/windy out. It's like I can't focus on anythin except how cold I am. My whole body starts to shiver and I get really restless. Also, my teeth involuntarily chatter. It's strange because it's not really THAT cold out, and the other people always seem to handle the cold just fine.

For instance, the other night three of us were standing outside of a car talking and I just couldn't focus on anything besides how cold I was. This isn't just an "it was just cold out" coincidence, as this has happened multiple times and I'm the only one who can't seem to stay in the moment.

Also, in my class at school we practice biofeedback (having to warm your internal body temperature through concentration) and I notice mine is always the lowest temperature. I'm not sure if this correlates with what I mentioned above but I felt the need to throw it in there just in case.

Lastly: My dad says that he was diagnosed with Mediterranean anemia. I was never told this by a doctor, but I don't think they were ever LOOKING for it. Is it a possibility I have it, and if so, could my hypersensitivity to cold weather be related to this?

This really boggles my mind.

I get cold easily too. I was just complaining today that it was cold and was told 'it wasn't that bad.' Usually in winter (Australian winter mind) my extremities start aching and my ears and eyes start hurting.

I can become easily overheated too. I'm always throwing on layers or taking them off. I never just feel comfortable with the temperature.

I live in California which also has very mild winters but I think I get cold pretty easily. I usually wear a sweater or sweatshirt whenever it's less than about 75F while most of my friends run around in a t-shirt at 60 or 65F.

I could be hypersensitive to cold. Then again, I could be hypersensitive to differences between the temperature of my body (parts) and the temperature of the environment.

I'm hyposensitive to the cold. I easily walk around in a t-shirt in 20F with no problem, but 80F is too hot. 8O

Wow- It only got down to 20F once in my entire lifetime here and that was considered the "big freeze". 80 F is the perfect temperature for me. I hate it when people crank up their ACs in summer to keep the indoors down to 65. I don't know if my preference for warmth is an AS sensory thing or just an individual personal thing- my whole family likes warm weather.

My whole family loves it, except me. I hate it.

I don't get cold unless it gets below 30 degrees. Below that, I get bone-chillingly cold. I live in Phoenix though so it rarely gets that cold (it did a few days a couple months ago). I hate the heat though.

I'm a big fan of the cold. Anything above 15 degrees C (59F) is getting too hot for me.

I don't like cold. I sleep with heavy sheets, even in summer.
Thinking that this february probably i will go to Norway, make me worried.
