Talking in percentages

Do you calculate things in percentages (like L from Death Note, for make an example)?
In past i did it a lot, now i do it less.

Actually, I do. Whenever there are numbers involved, I'll try to turn them into percentages. I've never thought about it, but now that you mentioned it, I think it's one of those "special interests".

A young lady friend, who had some aspie traits, excitidley wrote me a letter about Myrtle Beach SC. She describes it as being " 35 percent like Virginia Beach, 25 percent like Ocean City, 15 percent like [ such and such town], 20 percent [ such and such other town], and five percent like...." .

If I have the exact numbers, I do like doing this. Either percentages or, if I'm feeling lazy and the percentage would have a lot of decimal points (such as 4 in 27), then I'll figure it as, well, 1 in X or 2 in X, etc.

Not percentages but fractions. I once (I was 10), when asked how close to being ready to leave I was, told my friend I was 5/8 of the way ready.

I do that all the time. I confuse the heck out of my family members by doing that. They tell me to speak in words and not numbers.

I was looking back at my Skype logs, and I found one case in particular when my girlfriend and I were discussing something rather serious, and I brought up rough percentages.

Needless to say, she was not happy about that.
