I've had a couple of experiences which have caused other people to ask if I was psychic (which I'm not) and I was wondering if anyone had any similar experiences.

One was when I was at a bus stop, speaking to a woman and we were discussing the bus times, etc. She asked if I was psychic. I said, 'No, I don't think so, why do you ask'. She said, 'I thought you were looking at my aura'. I assume I was looking around her more than at her eyes. (I do try to remember to make eye contact.) I definitely wasn't looking at her aura as seeing auras is not one of my superpowers.

I'm often able to tell that a woman is pregnant, long before she announces it. Only once have I asked, but that was because I thought she was a lot further along than she was, as I'd been sure for a couple of months. It turned out she was only 10 weeks gone. I think it's because I notice the tiniest details, e.g. a tiny weight change or bottom button of a blouse open. Yet again, I've been asked if it's because I can see their aura - errr no.

Anyone else have things like this happen?

sometimes, yes; although the ones that ask me are usually the ones that truly believe in auras and try to see them themselves; the technique is simular to 'basic' AS fake eye-contact; in my case it's more often getting up for the bus and taking my ticket out before the bus is visible for example, even if it's a few minutes late/early (i can hear it...)
though, with that said; i do also have some abilities that can be called actually psychic (knowing if someone's behind me without seeing for example), but there is a whole thread about that somewhere on the forums

It may be that she was more interested in talking about her "psychic" abilities; sort of like when someone asks about your family, and then launches into a long, laborious monologue on their family. It's an ice-breaker.

There is no valid material evidence for psychic abilities.

I went to a psychic fair. A stranger told me that my presence was disrupting the abilities of one of the psychics. It turns out that the stranger was actually a shill for the psychic. He'd tell solitary attendees that they were somehow dampening the abilities of the psychics at the fair, but that his partner could train them to better control their abilities ... for a fee, of course.

It's all about the money.

My mother is convinced she is psychic. This doesn't work so well for a kid on the spectrum. When mommy tells you she can read your mind and you take things literally, it freaks you out. It took a very long time to figure out that mind reading is woo woo at that mom was crazy.

At school, some people seemed to think I was. Apparently some people thought an excellent rote memory was synonymous with being psychic. It made me a bit of a curiosity.

Not really, but close. There've been times when I've figured something out, but other people were clueless as to how I did it. Once I explain it, then they realize how simple it was. I refer to them as "Sherlock moments." Unfortunately, instead of "That's brilliant!" I usually get "A**hole!"
