This will be similar to my question, before, but is this time in poll form. I will make this as complete as possible as I understand autistic thinking, thus far...

You know, I have no idea. How would one determine how one thinks?

Verbally mostly. Visually when asleep.

Go sit somewhere quiet for a while, and observe your thinking.

That's good. Appearances can be deceptive.

Passive or active thinking? I have a picture stream and a word stream running in my head continuously and most of the time I'm paying little attention to them. I would call that passive thinking. With active thinking I'm directing one or the other stream to preview possible outcomes to some problem I'm considering. To reach a conclusion, however, I have to consult my feelings on the projected solution, which I do by noticing if my chest and stomach feel relaxed or jittery.

Visual/Geometric should be an option.

I am a highly visual thinker, and up until just a couple months ago, I thought everyone was. I didn't realize that there are so many people out there (or ANYONE for that matter!) who thought only in words. I can think either in still or moving pictures. Occasionally there are words to go with the pictures, but not always, and there are never words without some kind of visual piece to the thought as well.

I think in a combination of pictures, movies and words. I think in pictures when I want to come up with ideas for drawings, I think in movies when I am in my imaginary world, and I think in words when I am being introspective.

I have no idea? I sat somewhere quiet and observed my thinking but didn't come up with words, pictures or movies.

My wife told me to close my eyes and clear my mind for a couple minutes, and then she would say a word and see what came to my mind immediately. After a few minutes, she said "chicken.".

I immediately said " a small fowl bird that was originally domesticated from the red jungle fowl in India from around 2500 BC, Originally domesticated for fighting and not a food source." But I did not see words, pictures, or movies. I just blurted out some factual statement about chickens. I have no idea what type of thinking this would equate too. It may be in the list and I just don't understand the concept.

I tend to think in movies, pictures, and verbally (mostly pictures/movies these days though- verbally only when I am telling myself what to do).

I am also factoring in my imagination, which is primarily movie-based.

Some VERY interesting answers! :D
Cash- I think I would call your kind of thinking " abstract in words- encyclopedic". Didn't know it existed.... :chin:
IdahoRose- your thinking seems very similar to my own. :) Nice!
LittleLily613- very interesting. And we share a month and day for a birthday, too. :D
dionysian- thanks for that input! Didn't realize that kind of thinking existed, but am glad to learn about it. :)
the_curmudge- good question! I didn't know anyone thought like that. Sounds like a kind of thinking that would be really useful for problem- solving in many ways... :chin:
SammichEater- you sound like you have your bases well covered! :o
Moog- very interesting difference, there!
Nordlys- you also think pretty similarly to me. :) nice to have some company, that way.
Bloodheart- interesting! How do they go together? Any idea?
