I guess I learned a new rule, do not join people when they are publicly dancing. I was with my family today and saw some young woman dancing. Random strangers took photos of the young woman, they'd walk away, etc. I briefly knew these woman from a class, so it wasn't as if they were complete strangers. I ask if I could join them, they said sure. But it was one of those awkward sures, that I didn't pick up on until a few hours ago, we danced for a moment and then I left. Well it wasn't as simple as that, they did the whole nervous laughing and awkward conversations before I left. "That was fun," "Yes," "We should do it another time," "Yeah sounds great"

Text can't bring up the awkwardness in their voices. But by no means was I dancing with them to flirt with them or ask them out. I just enjoy dancing in public and sharing good times with people.

Anyone else done something similiar?

I always come off strongly. Maybe it's because of how I look at people. Since I don't see my facial expression when I am face to face with someone, I don't know what they see. I do know that when I see someone that disgusts or annoys me, I know they can tell. I can't hide facial expressions for anything. Here's a funny comparison...I am awesome at poker, but there would be no way I could play in a face to face tournament.

Were you vocally involved with the awkward conversations or just them?

I didn't realize the conversation was awkward until later. But then it would be even more awkward to go up and apologize. So I kind of left feeling kind of stupid. Because here I had been praising myself of doing such a good job lately, rofl.
