Just so you guys know, there are no pictures or other "traumatizing" stuff in this link. Only text.

Why would I feel anything abnormal?

I think I would need something more visual to at least get an emotional respond.

ADHD here, not sure about the AS.

I dunno, I have trouble reading these kinds of things because my reaction is the opposite of yours. I react a little too strongly to them. I don't feel horrified, but I get a "lump" in my stomach and feel a general heaviness around me. It's mostly bad things that have happened to people, so that depresses me a bit. I'm very conflict-averse.

Many of the commentators feel uneasy when they read through other peoples traumatic experiences. One of the most upvoted comments goes something like this; "i regret ever reading this stuff". Its not that i expect those comments to really have much emotional dept to them, but i still think people react somewhat.

Syrella - I actually felt alittle "lump" in my stomack when i read about "the gang incident"(not spoiling anything ;) ). It only lasted a second or something, like a mild startle reaction.

When I read stuff like this, it's as though I am transported to the place where the event is happening. Horrible stuff. The spider story didn't bug me too much, but reading the reporters stories...that got to me. :-(

I do feel emotion with most of these, but as soon as I've finished reading it, it fades quickly.

Yeah, I read that one. I guess it might just be that my reaction is a little "stronger" than yours. Oh well, I've always been really sensitive to stuff. xD I have trouble watching bad stuff happen even in cartoons.

I don't feel any emotions when reading those posts. I guess I'd have to actually be in those situations to feel something.

So from the few posts here it seems like some asperger's feel and some don't. Same goes for ADHD.

The reason why i ask is because i'm somewhat trying to find out if i do indeed have asperger's or if i just have ADHD, which i'm diagnosed with.

I felt quite nauseous (probably this lump everyones going on about!) but I suppose it was quite difficult for me to emote with the individuals who got killed. Not because I am nasty but because I don't know them personally.

I suspect I have Asperger's and ADHD (I have strong evidence). I've read some of the first stories (it's too long), and it invoked tears (or almost, it barely broke the tear threshold, because I allowed it, otherwise I don't). It's one of the first time this happens when I read something like that. However, I'm pretty sure the emotion will go away once I start doing other things, it's already half-gone.

I have a morbid sense of humor and fascination with this sort of stuff. I'm sure if I witnessed any of this sort of thing first hand my opinion may change but I can't claim to be emotionally moved. I may have made face at one or two of them, but not the ones you might think...

I hate spiders! First one really freaked me out.

Suicide one made me feel a little sick and sad, too.

Not reading the rest...

Yeah, as much as some of them are terribly awful and graphic, I can't bring myself to stop reading them.

Reading these make my hearth rate beat faster and my mind starts creating some visual situations of how it might have been.
